How is Tradestation's quote feed compared to Esignals?

Ok, you pay $215, now Add the costs if you had to use
forex feed, market depth surecharge, MP, overpriced news charge $20, scanners.....
The only issue for TS8 is realtime data feed reliability, but
esignal also isn't that reliable, it lagged J-trader most times
when i compared.
Meanwhile, Esignal is very poor on documentation for EFS
language, that mean no one can use it for system trading
Do you realy think esignal can provide you with fast data
for $49 that charged for esignal equity basic? Bullshit
eSignal is overpriced

All of them have bad feed from time to time.
You better keep you eyes on quotes available in
your order entry plateform (be it Trademaven,
J-trader, X-trader, CQGtrader, or any broker feed
......) when you expect to have entry, breakout,....
The topic is about features and their relative costs.
Yes, Ensign+DTN IQfeed is good combination.
Also Prorealtime for $49 is very good value, because
you don't have to pay subscription fee to other feed
provider, they provide their own.
I have never tried them, but it's the cheapest out there.
Can someone comments if feed is as good as esignal,
TS, and Iqfeed?

i bet you only trade stocks though.
it seems odd that most of the complaints of unreliable data seem to come from futures traders and not stock traders.
this is outrageous seeing as esignal users pay a premium for futures data.
yet it gets worse....
when asked why they charge a premium for futures data, esignal do not want to say why.......

im gunna get flamed for saying this, but here goes....
i cant see how anyone can call themselves a futures trader when they keep holding this losing position (esignal). they should cut there losses and move to a better trade (anything but esignal).

Agree with this. Have had two spells of using eSignal and found it fairly unreliable and rather expensive. If you are trading futures, there is a lot to be said for Ensign with the feed from IB. You will need to buy or rent a separate trading platform, but the total cost will still come out below eSignal on its own.
I concur. I have used everything out there. I had a system running Tradestation. I junked it and moved that account over to IB. I am now running IB and Ensign on that computer and I have been blown away! All for 55 bucks a month! Quotes run right with CQG. No you don't get as many quotes. And IB is not perfect (on time and sales etc.). But IB and Ensign is a good combo for any trader---IMO.
Esignal is a rip off! I used them way back like 10 years ago under DBC. If you are going to spend money ----go with CQG. Reuters is also tip/top.
Tradestation is good. I had them up for just over a year. However, I HATED their lack of improvements and the endless dicking around. For a futures brokerage not to Eurex was and is idiocy. With that aside they were pretty reliable and their forex data is pretty good. I will never do business with them. My stock, forex business is now with IB. I plan on using IB more and more. I have taken a shine to them.
