Do you have to be TD Ameritrade customer to get the free ThinkorSwim? Or can you use ThinkorSwim to connect to TWS for free without pay any to TD Ameritrade?

You have to be a TD Ameritrade client, but you don't have to pay anything to TD Ameritrade. Like I said, I've never made any trades with TD Ameritrade. I've also never deposited any money into my TD Ameritrade account.
I am trying NinjaTrader to connect to TWS, it takes long time (way over 10 minutes) to load historical data from TWS. Is there a way to overcome this long time loading data problem?
So you can get ThinkorSwim and real-time data for free from TD Ameritrade by simply signing up an account with TD Ameritrade? wow!
If you live in Europe than you may want to look into: Tradestation global - interfaces IB. There is no platform or market data fees as far as I understand as long as you maintain a min balance which is <$1k.
This way you a powerful platform than can do just about anything without having to spend a dime for it.

How long did TD Ameritrade let you have the free real-time data (data for futures too?) and ThinkorSwim without depositing any money into your TD Ameritrade account?

Can ThinkorSwim have multiple charts (like 9 equal size charts) on screen? Does it have Snap-on mode when draw trend line or Fibonacci retracement?
