This won't 100x on meme hype, but here's an alt coin with potential for sustained growth. If it becomes an established protocol in the DEX space I think there's potential for 10x - 20x from here. It's my biggest alt coin position right now:
SOLID (solidly.com)
I started trying to type out the Solid bull case along with pre-requisite knowledge that's needed to understand the protocol, for anyone new to crypto, in essay form. But haha that started to get long quick so I switched to some cliff notes. The initial work on explaining DEXs and LPs is attached in case anyone is interested.
Solid Bull Case
-Offers concentrated liquidity, which attracts much greater volume to the protocol relative to their TVL (Total Value Locked) than most other DEXs.
-Token has partial capture of protocol revenue for the holders. If/When revenue grows this will force it to reprice upward. Or just pay a huge, non-dilutive yield if not. So win-win.
-Solid is deploying on a lot of different chains. But will not expand their tokenomics or make sister-forks. Solid will be bridged to multiple chains to collect the revenue on those chains.
-Multi-chain presence also creates scarcity, relative value bridging activity, and arbs on the token itself. Not necessarily bullish but it will drive volume into the the coin and the protocol which is a 2nd order bullish effect.
-Plans to partner with perpetual future protocols as a front-end. Another potential source of revenue.
Risks / Other Details
There's always a chance this fizzles out or becomes inactive. But the tech is superior to a lot of other DEXs so I think it will capture market share, even deploying to a dozen chains and remaining small should add up to respectable revenue. As this occurs, because of the revenue share mechanism, it should drive the price of the coin up.
Team is motivated and not focused on short-term gain from what I can see. The founder made 9 figures on Fantom (saw it myself on-chain), so he shouldn't be hurting for some quick money if he took any of that at all off the table during the bull run.
Solid market cap is so low relative to established DEX like Uniswap and Pancake swap that I think the bet offers decent convexity. But it's still a protocol in it's infancy, in a saturated market, so I'd still consider it a long-shot bet. I like cheap optionality. I'd recommend this as a long term play, although as team continues to deploy to other chains and develop the tech there would hopefully be some hype rallies to get out at smaller 2x or 3x sooner or later if that's your game.
To anyone buying, I wouldn't recommend locking and trying to collect protocol revenue yet. Play the potential reprice or wait until revenues really start showing up before you give up your liquidity. Buying some SOLID and putting it in one of the LPs for some additional swap revenues / emission capture is a good alternative to just holding spot if you are more comfortable with on-chain activity. LP can be withdrawn and you can sell your SOLID at any time unlike locking.
Good luck out there guys.
