ALSN looks like a good setup

Allison Transmission Holdings Inc looks like a good one to short sell friday pay the dividens and get out super early monday morning.

This is my first post i can't profit off the pick because well i am i do not have the capitol. (I don't want any either from anyone here or anywhere else). I am setting myself up to open a account in a few years. Kids work life etc. In the mean time i am studying reading books and following the market.

I just seen this setup and was wondering what you guys thought of it. To me it seems like a easy profit taker and a chance to get close to 10%. But hell i could be wrong though i don't think i am.

With the payout coming people are jumping ship early. A lot of people. I would play with everything i had on it. Target just had a similar set up and would of paid out 12% on margin. I figure this might drop even harder.

So what do you guys think?

And if i make anyone some nice cash. Buy a sandwich and tell me what you ate with your winning lol.

 
Congratulations. I have seen SOOO MANY single post new posters come on here and spew crap asking what do you think about this or that. And every single one has been a stupid ass trade for some very basic newbie reasons and yet TODAY,.....YOU,...have the great talent and actual ability as a newbie to post something POSITIVELY CORRECT in my view. I like your trade very much. Thanks for the heads up. I may take a small position in this trade after looking at it some more tonight. I say small position only because I usually do not short when the market in general is showing to go long. However, I do allow myself I counter market trend trade every so often and this just might be it.

Ok,.. So looked at it a bit more. I don't like dividend payout on 9-2-16 but could be short term trade. I think I would be more comfortable shorting above $28.15 rather than right here. Looks like it may pop back up before a drop. If it pops I'll keep it on my radar and may take the trade when I see it setup a little better on the hourly chart. Thanks for making me aware of it. Will be watching it over the next several days.
 
Well i glad to hear that it is of some value realized or not. There are a lot of incredibly smart people on here, and i am really trying to start looking with a clever eye as so many on hear do so effortlessly.

It does have smaller volume than most would like and may take a bit of time to get out of. But i feel it would be of little consequence with the perceived spread.

I am just happy nobody threw rocks at me. Hard. (Yet)
