Alright, taking the plunge

I've been trading forex for a about 5 years, maybe a little longer. I'm going to move into some equities that I've been playing around with in the trading "platform" or website, call it what you want, of my bank (Bank of America) - which, incidently, sucks ass.

Is IB pretty much the way to go? Just looking for thoughts on this.
 
Thanks, Mak. I guess I read all these silly posts on this board about how IB did this to them, and that to them. But then I think back about how folks bitch about Oanda as well - yet I have been very happy with Oanda for a while on FX.
