**Almost in Tears** Need Mentor for Futures Market.

You just met your BEST mentor ever, the problem is that you can't afford him, right? Then find a way to negotiate down the price!
How do you do that now?
If you answer that correctly, I'll mentor you for free but only after you have shown me solid proof that for 12 months, you have NEVER EVER used more than 1 single ES contract, and NEVER have gone overnight and NEVER had a loss greater than 2 full ES Points in any one trade and NEVER more than 3 points in any single day.

I could be mistaken, but it sounds from what you're saying that you're holding the ES overnight. You should not be establishing swing/position trades based upon failed intraday trades.

I was thinking the same thing when I read that. BNB you need to a couple of things that have nothing to do with a proven stradegy.

1. A written trading plan that has consequence if you break it.

2. You need to read on trading psychology, because you have a problem admitting when you are wrong. That's why you don't honor your stops, if you have any?, and become a swing trader. I would strongly suggest Mark Douglas, Trading in the Zone and Brett Steenbarger, newest book, tittle escapes me.

How do I know #2 because I have been there. I blew out my account several years ago. I had no plan and no stops in place and I lost it all.

I took 2 years off to get my head straight and learn before I attempted to make money day trading on a sim. During that time I was able to save up my risk capital.

After almost 2 full years I can make and lose approx. $200-400 per contract per day, with more wins than loses. It took me 2 years to get there, full time. I am not interested, nor qualified to mentor, you or anyone else. I simply tell you this to give you a reality check. There is no rush the market will always be there. :cool:

I only ask this because some of the columns in the execution blotter are confusing me ? I am unsure if you were adding to losers and when you were flat etc on that day

I could then look or other ET members could then look at the trades and comment on how well or poorly your decisions to buy or sell were in retrospect of course

and perhaps give some pointers based on charts or $TICK or other indicators on that day 6/22/07 that might have saved you money or shown you it was a trend day down or whatever
 
BNB, look how you posted your trades. How can anyone understand them? That's pretty sloppy man. You should be scrutinizing every trade you take and analyzing them over and over. You should be able to post your p/l breakdown with a log of every trade, reasons, whether you stuck to your rules, etc. I am impressed that you let your ego go posting for help but you gotta become more serious about trading.
