The yuan is significantly overvalued, despite the recession and bouts of dollar strength. Perhaps by at least 30-50%, imo.

Because of recent dollar strength, China's accumulation of treasuries slowed, but was still net positive. As the US consumer recovers, the trade deficit will grow, and so to it China's demand for treasuries etc.
