Fluid you wouldn't post in chat rooms under the name RRobert would you?
Hey Allen, it's Karl under my old alias. How'd the day go? I figured you guys would follow the break today and pick up 975 to 960 for a quick 15.
I'm hoping to get back in to the room soon, I wanted a week or two of thinking on my own to force myself to develop a system instead of flying by the seat of my pants ;-)
For all of Allen's fans here, Fluid and his crew, I hang out in Allen's chat room while I trade. I started trading in June, no experience before. Allen's system gave me a starting point to learn about the market. I started following Allen's calls, then learned his setups and predicted his calls, then developed my own opinions on the market and now trade off my own calls. I still like being in the room and getting feedback from Allen and the other members about developing opinions.
In the past two weeks alone I've just taken 116 points out of the market on trades that were called live in Allen's room: +34, +66, +10, +6. Trades 1, 3 and 4 were made on entries that matched Allen's, I just held number 1 considerably longer than Allen held his. I used the "ebr Flip" method of trend determination on trade number 2, with the "Nap and Gap" to determine my target and exit point. I've had no losses over 2 weeks trading.
I think Allen keeps transcripts of each days IRC, if you're interested in the actual entires and exits, and some sweet dialog between ebr and I about the trades and the "Nap and Gap" system that got me 100 points on 2 trades - log into Allen's room and ask him nice, he might point you in the right direction.
All of my trades are based on the philosophies we talk about in Allen's room. It's a fantastic learning environment that will more than pay for it's membership fee for new traders - particularly in learning about stop placement.

I stopped posting because I enjoy teaching and get pleasure from helping other traders, but a few of the posts here have taken the fun out of the thread made it a petty return of insults.
I do charge for what I teach because I feel it is something of value and anyone who has been in my room will agree with that.
Magna if you can close this thread I would appreciate it as it has strayed away from its intention.

What did you think everyone was going to be patting you on the ass wit this thread? I simply made some observations and voiced them, why such thin skin?
Sure sounds like a cop-out to me Allen...
I will tell you what, you have my promise that I will no longer post here since you obviously cannot take critiscism.
This way time and action can be the judge; you can't hide from the TRUTH -- cause the truth is all there is...

I strongly urge you to reconsider your intention to stop posting. Moreover, I urge you to ignore those who partake in petty insults.
Your commentaries are excellent, and will be missed should you decide to terminate this thread.
If I were you, I would hold Fluid to his promise to stop petty arguments, to enable you to continue posting without petty insults.

I have a very thick skin. I have "traded in public" for the past 24 months and always posted a track record, good, bad or whatever. My reason for not posting to this journal is because it turned from me explaining my style to defending it.
I dont have to do that to you or anyone else. I posted a profitable journal of trades which may frustrate you Fluid if you are losing money in this market. If the profits are not up to your standards I really could care less.
I never claimed to make 1000% a year or " Rule the freakin markets". I trade for a living and was simply showing how. 100% a year is not easy to make, ask anyone who tried, and that is what my journal shows, as well as, my track record.
I will do another journal in a couple of months and will continue to contribute to this site.

Allen lets have a little recap here!
First I pointed out that it might be a little mis-leading displaying your "net" w/out factoring in commissions; which as of the last reported day of yours they were well over 50% of your displayed net (w/ low IB)...
Secondly, I simply stated that less than 1pt per day is nothing to get an inflated sense of pride about, then you foolishly came bak with "yeah but Fluid just 1pt per day is 100% a year", so I asked you what type of position sizing module will yield the above result and found out the claim is bullshit...

You know it is pretty ironic that you choose to bail on your thread just as the "buzz" is starting to wear off and the poor results are beginning to leave the "noise" stage...
