This is bullshit. Coming soon to North America, guaranteed.
Lots of implications. First - a national firewall. The internet is no longer free. Two - Government censors content. Porn, then what? Anything it deems a threat to the establishment. No more alternative media. The end of the free press etc. Web commerce is taxed to the hilt etc.
It's a stupid idea, motivated by a need to distract the public from the unfortunate issues that the coalition is having at the moment.
