Just a comment: Don't you think the fact that police are involved in crime scenes more than average citizen?
Uh no dopey. Most if not all of the shootings regardless of who is involved ARE "crime scenes". Duh!
And, don't you think more police are armed than ordinary citizens?
There are roughly 800,000 law enforcement officers in the US. 47% of US households have a gun on the premises. Should I do the math for you? Or would you prefer to look stupid quietly?
Come on, stupid statistics.
"Stupid" how exactly?
Oh sure, did I miss something here? Let's see.
Yes, shootings are nearly all crime scenes, yes I agree.
And, yes, with 4.3 million members of the NRA alone, that we would have more armed citizens than police. I have to give you that one.
The 'ordinary citizens" I guess was taken from my reading about crimes that take place, where most citizens are not armed.
I think your point was as to it would be better to have everyone armed? It's been a while, and I can't find the link quickly.
And, an apology for not responding to you. And, yes, you are the winner on some of these points. Glad to have a discussion. See, this doesn't hurt a bit, we win some, we get corrected on some. Life goes on.
Sorry, it's pretty late, and I have terrible positions to wake up to in the morning.
