All indicators useless?

Quote from bobcathy1:

An indicator is only that....an indication of where the price might go..... [/B]

Aren't indicators just a manipulation of price and volume data to get the answer you think you want?

Quote from bobcathy1:

Truthfully, it all comes down to price action.

The best insight that I ever got was the realization that all prices are random events. It comes down to getting out early when you are wrong, and letting it ride when you are right.

Are you even aware that since you started posting here your losing strategys and the advice you so freely offer up has changed more times than anyone can likely remember?

Does Bob know how much money you have pissed away so far trying to learn how to trade? Expensive education isn't it.

That is yesterday's news guys.
Get with the times.:D

Reminds me of that scene in the movie Clueless where the two girls are at the mall, one looks at some clothing she likes and the other says, "Not! That's so 5 minutes ago...."

Quote from LongShot:

this says it all. conflicting sigs for the SAME set of events in time. one says short the other long. hmmmm sounds like a bunch o' crap to me. :D

If one signal conflicts from the other and from price this is called
a conbooberated signal. It is the Holy Grail. With this signal, you can
be as rich as you want. Thank goodness for all indicator signals.
Without them, we would all be lost in the woods...

:D :D :D Happened to me just two days ago, had to seek "relief", when I came back, I was something like 15 NQ points down.

Might I suggest a wide-mouth Gatorade bottle kept tucked discretely under the desk :D

... not that I have ever stooped to this level!:(

The Holy Grail is really knowing which indicators to use, if any.

I think the funniest indicator is the balance of power or BOP. It tells you whether the buyers or sellers are prevailing.... exactly the same thing the price tells you!! It was published in TASC a while back, I never tried to find out if it was a joke or maybe the author was serious.
