All I Do is Lose Money

back then if they liked you, they didn't make you wear one

But keep in mind, if you do that kind of thing, eventually God will find out and punish you. I wouldn't have minded being punished back then, but now I have more to lose.

i disagree i think he should find more sites and post. it might cut down on his trading time and like he said he does not lose money posting.

if you have money why trade? its like going to a doctor and saying every time i do this it hurts so he will just tell you don't do that anymore same idea. the s&p can easily crap itself down 200 points maybe 600 points next year. these big up and down swings can be negative signs.
I don't really need to trade for a living anymore. But I enjoy it, and for the last few months have been living off of it. It's really quite satisyfying when all the money deposited into your checking account to pay the monthly bills (plus taxes) comes from trading.

It was a bitch when I had to do it, then the money got deposited whether it was a profit or some of your trading account.

That's all I do. Just lose money. If they paid somebody to fade me he'd be doing quite well.

If I buy it goes down

If I sell it goes up

I've become like the perfect contrarian indicator

There was a guy who pitched for the Cincinnati Reds who threw 102 curveballs in a row. And he had a very good fastball.

They asked why he never threw his good fast ball and he said, "I think they may be sitting on it."

Re-tune your emotions and your results will turn around...

This thread is a paradox.

I never take a loss

If you look at my account statement at the end of the month, it will look just like any normal trader's account statement, there will be some profits and some losses, but no, I personally never take a loss.

Unless you mean you never take a loss personally.

nah, I think I'll ride it out. My emotions are just fine. Although it's good I don't have super powers, because at times I don't think I would use them judiciously.

Shucks, you mean you can't waive you hand and solve all the problems in Europe so that the EURUSD goes racing up?

Quote from logic_man:

Clearly, posting in itself isn't going to cause you to lose money in a direct way. I'm saying that you are not using your time wisely.

Every trading method has drawdowns, but if what you are experiencing seems like it is more than that, you should spend every possible minute you can fixing it. If it's nothing more than that, as far as you can tell, sure, then just ride it out. But in that case, why create such a melodramatic thread?
because that's what I have to do to get you to post. Haven't heard from you in a while. How'd you make out in that storm? Most of us in the midwest didn't know that much about NYC. Now we know where 34th street is.

no, because that means usd would go down and I don't want to do that to my mothers savings account

I been trading over 34 years and my emotions are always pissed off when I have a loss, I really do expect to make money on each signal. I throw things, although now that the broken 55" plasma screen has been taken out of the office along with the 14 (still working)CRT's there is less glass to clean up. I learned that some emotions are good to have. I took out all my desktops/screens and just have two laptops now, can't throw those...

Quote from oldtime:

hey man, this trading is hard, 95% lose you know. I'm just lucky I am still alive, due to superior money management (averaging down). But if I don't start guessing right pretty soon, I'm just going to be another statistic.

otherwise, I have a whole shitload of puppy dogs I can make you a good deal on.

Two rules that I can think right away, but there are many more

a) do not trade on margin

b) always put stops to any entry

Both of these will insulate a bit against an account blow up. :D
