1. I'm a newbie.
2. I read the newbie FAQ
3. I searched the forums for my answer and found none.
4. So i'm going to post now:

I'm trying to identify all online brokers that exist. Has anyone come accross a comprehensive list of online brokers/discount brokers for trading stocks? I'm not interested in brokers that specialize in futures, currency etc.

Thanks guys. Alot of the ones at the top are for futures, commodities, forex etc. I'm trying to find a complete list of brokerage houses similar to Scottrade, ETrade, Fidelity etc. I don't believe all of those are "direct access" brokerages, right? For example on this list http://daytradingstocks.com/resources/daytradingbrokers.html Scottrade isn't listed. I'm not quite sure why and if there are others that are like Scottrade but aren't listed here. Sorry for the newbish posts.
