My main beef is this, christians believe God wrote/inspired all of the bible.
I say that's pure nonsense, the bible came from human brains.
The bible is a great piece of literature, no doubts about it, and full of wisdom but also full of porkies.

Here is the problems with christian's concept.

Because bible is right and I'm a child of God, my beliefs are right.
God guides me and protects me, I'm on the right side, unbelievers are on wrong side.
I'm saved, unbelievers off to hell, they belong to the devil.
Everything in bible is right therefore I believe everything in bible.
Pastors and church and bible are basically God's vessels, I'll take my instructions from them without question.
Because I'm christian I'm a slave to christ, do what he says, don't question."

Bottom line, christians don't think for themselves any longer, they've become cultists, everyday it's the same bs, "The bible says...."

I've been a christian, fundamental and pentecostal for many years, but no longer, been just a fuckin disaster! PERIOD!

I have yet to hear an orginal comment come from him, all he does is quote the bible, I've read the bible countless times, nothing enlightening, he is part of group think.

Well I don't feel like wasting time trawling through bible for quotes atm, but much of western common sense came from the bible which has had a huge influence on us.
Things like love, greed, cleanliness, compassion, doing the right thing, selflessness... etc, all in the bible as instructions.
And its not common sense either, easy for humans to go off the rails and live like pigs.

The scripture they read in Prince Charles/Dianne's wedding in the cathedral, "Love is..."

There are only two world views possible. Either you believe the Universe (and thus us) exist because of some sort of Cosmic accident or you believe that it is a creation of God.

To believe that nothingness exploded and instantly created all the finely tuned laws of nature, gravity, thermodynamics, etc that keep the order of the universe, and then the miracle of life being established on an earth prepared to receive it and then man with his conscious mind, is just impossible. That leaves God as the Creator so you best get to know Him and what His plan for this creation is.
