The CBP data reportedly shows 61% of them were expelled on health grounds, but the number of repeat offenders was over 25% in recent months – twice as high as in previous years.


The question always is are more people simply getting caught with more enforcement focused on the border or are more people truly crossing? Like if the number of robberies in a city is the same in one year to the next but arrests rise sharply, then it just means more people are getting caught.

These numbers are always twisted to push whatever narrative GOP or DEM want to convey.

There were increases in crossings under Trump and increases now under Biden.... if people are poor and desparate they will try to cross knowing they just need to get in and get lost. the tick is likely higher under Biden but unlikely "all time high"...basically just another year of undocumented flow. It's politics now and there's value in demonizing and locking them up so they play it off as some giant "problem" while employers can't even fill positions.
