Algo & Quant traders

If you could have - then why didn't you?

You come across just like every other trading author who annotates yesterday's chart with perfect hindsight patterns.

Instead, if you want to demonstrate your skills, let us know in advance next time.

I wouldn't waste my time with SPY lol...I was busing road mapping Bitcoin since January last year...working on my second Lambo...or Lotus. Here we can do it together...same scenario going on with bitcoin right now as with SPY. So based on what I have just told you, what do you think the price could retrace to and by when? This is the most basic rudimentary form of TA as well...

Good luck with that..Hes like 99 percent of all the Elliot Wavers out there, great hindsight analysts with zero money management..

How are you guys not seeing these patterns???!!! lol. There is no hindsight at all...its happening right in front of your faces in real time, but you are too stubborn and ignorant to acknowledge it. :)

Nice try. :)

If you want to demonstrate the validity of your approach, you tell us plainly with no ifs and buts.

Looking at a chart and guessing where price may or may not go is not trading. In directional trading, you actually have to place a trade and manage it (take profits or exit when you're wrong).

In simplicity, trading authors will show us that the market bottomed out on a double bottom at this or that Fib retracement. However, they'll also ignore the 5 prior double bottoms which failed and the other minor retracements which failed (but would have been celebrated if not).

OMG I already have...don't make me spoon feed you. Look at the two c&h and extrapolate where you think price can retrace to...

OMG I already have...don't make me spoon feed you. Look at the two cup and handles and tell me! I couldn't make it any more simple...truly amateur hour.

I don't trade based on "cup and handles", so I wouldn't know. Neither do you, it seems.

Sorry I toned down my response because I should be patient.

Scroll down to the charts I posted on this page:

I nailed the top. I called the C&H fail. I labelled the single correction and double correction targets. I have also posted the target price of the resulting rally AFTER the correction!

I posted this back on mar26:

You can see the 50% fib was hit, and the handle completed just around .382 which is typical. I could have told you this was going to bounce back in October...and given a target price. I could have eyeballed it for you.

Sure there are price anomalies that sophisticated quants can decipher, but they are likely only exploiting arbitrage at that point with HFT as there would be such a miniscule advantage. Definitely not something you are going to achieve from your basement.

Quantitative arbitrage is a strategy centered around exploiting inconsistencies in market prices to generate profits. This strategy relies heavily on extensive data analysis and complex mathematical models to determine when and how to execute trades to maximize profits.
Good Morning wxytrader,

Do you know any trader who makes money with Algo or Quant trading system?

I made $3500 cash clicking buy or sell button with 1 future contract in about 3 weeks.

Still seems vague to me.

What have you posted?

My view and message for the last two weeks have been that the market's in correction mode and I would assume sell the rallies for now. Specifically, my target for this week was 5K on ES. Not that it matters one bit, but I did post it quite a few times on these boards.

The difference between me and you, though, is that I'm not making any claims about my methodology or performance.

All I'm saying is you guys always try to claim hindsight bs when I am projecting in real time all the time.
