Alexis Tsipras' "open letter" to German citizens

not "us guys" ;-)

Prove what exactly? I'm talking about the German violent mentality. You guys are not what one would think of as a peace loving bunch, you know. We're not afraid of you attacking us lol, we would finish you off like we did last time, but who knows what you might do to poor Greece?

As for extremism, I've heard your Neo Nazi memberships are on the rise. Maybe you should check on that before commenting on terrorist activity here in the UK.

"get under control its own NI possessions' - this is what its about isn't with you Krauts? Control, conquest. We don't possess NI, we barely control it since it has been given so much power for self rule.

As for swinging the Auschwitz axe, you guys were literally doing that there!

it certainly touches on a lot of topics. But don't you find it interesting that each time we come to mention the country "Germany", we somehow get back to WWII, holocaust, ..., after all it 100% confirms that there are a lot of haters out there who cannot agree that Germany has done most everything in its power to atone for past mistakes and wrong doing in every way possible, given that there will never be anything that can make up for a lost life. This is what originally motivated me to join this discussion, namely that Greeks are dragging Germany down into the abyss of WWII and past occupation whenever there is something to demand. We see the perfect examples that this does not seem to be limited to Greeks, only.

Europeans united with nuclear heads pointing at each others... This thread is getting better by the day.

Holocaust and WW2 indeeds come up fast in a discussion when one has to criticise Germany, even 21st century Germany. Even as a non german I find it irritating.

This is because, imho, Germany is still trying to take over Europe. It failed to do so militarily (hence all the WW2, holocaust references) so it is now trying to take over using economic means. Hence all this talk of greeks being more german. Even as a non greek, i find this irritating.

Facts are facts, the UK is the fastest growing economy in the G7 whilst Germany is increasingly becoming a basket case. Probably be in a recession later this year. If you can't face that, too bad.

Someone mentioned that i had anti German feelings. Well, after reading about what you fuckers did at Auschwitz (liberation anniversary a couple of weeks ago), what do you expect? We have nukes these days, try anything like that again and we'll pop one up yer arse.

I read an interesting thing about how the sides behaved during the war. I'm neither German nor British, I'm impartial.
German U-boats actually rescued civilians off the sinking ships while the Allies let everyone drown - civilians, women and children included. Read about the Laconia incident, you might do with some education.
It's quite interesting to find out the truth which is quite a bit more complex as opposed to swallowing the propaganda intended for simpletons that is considered the official story these days.

Brits are completely inadequate to criticize anyone on this. Do I even need to mention what you guys did in India? It's always funny when people think history started with the second world war.

But don't worry - they'll make a "United States of Europe" any day now!

Yep, such a thread doesn't give a warm feeling about the future of the EU.
One of the pillar of EU is the will to avoid new intraeuropean wars, most laudable imo, but it seems the tensions are still rife betwee various countries.
Below is an interesting and migly related article that came in the Yahoo newsfeed this morning :
