My ownership of firearms has nothing to do with a mentally ill guy going into a school and killing children. One thing has nothing to do with the other.

You say that guns are "childish toys". Where I live the cops leave in the evening and there isn't a cop in the town at night, they are a 40 minute drive away. You are on your own for 40 minutes no matter what occurs. Is a tool that can assure the safety of my family for that 40 minutes a childish toy? Does my choice to own a gun to in order to offer that safety for my family until the cops can get here make me a gun nut?

1) I have no problem with stating the obvious.
2) It does matter because they are not just seeking personal gain to benefit from the events they are using it as an excuse to deprive 300 million people of their 2nd amendment right.

obviously these legislative solutions were just looking waiting and hoping for the right problem and some how I'm "the asshole" . :D :D :D
