In fairness, it's more that this venue is not great for anything but alleviating boredom (that's why I am here).An open forum is not very well suited for intelligent discourse, all that has moved to invitation-only non-anonymous chat-style spaces. It happened with @destriero and the group (now on Telegram and partly on Bloomberg chat) and it happened with the people from nuclearphynance (now on Discord).
People keep bringing up that Quanto is EarthImperator but there's one important difference between the two. EarthImperator was a pro-Chinese troll, who zealously defended that red commie regime. So far, I haven't seen that from Q.
Edit: Having read the rest of this thread, maybe he does need to be banned.

There are a handful of really professional derivatives chat groups. None allow anything but real institutional members verifying an email address. A couple even share revenue.
Kudos to what Baron has done here. He's a champion of the novice investor. @destriero could get salty at times - he may have had a commercial motive, but his stuff was gold. I have very little doubt he's still reading the site.
Anyone who wanted a user's manual had to visit a local library. 50 years into listed derivatives and talent is worth a fortune.

Ive gotten some trade ideas from here. And I have learned stuff from this forum. Less today than when I first joined.
I dont think Quanto should be banned..
If the ignore button completely shuts down a user regardless of them signing in or not,all is well.

“vol” is a term finance bros use to sound smart. You just need to sell all options all the time.

You are most likely already knew how to trade before you joined. For those of us non professionals, this site is gold. That is if you know how to pan for gold.
I owed every dollar I made trading options to ET, not because someone handed me their secret source but because I picked up enough trading ideas, some from people like Quanto, and developed a profitable approach on my own.
But I agree, I often had this site on, reading it while keeping the other eye on the charts waiting for the right entry.
