I was the original poster of the thread you highlighted. I am not Alex or associated with Alex. However, I wanted to post a positive review for www.puretick.com and its amazing live trading room.
I apologize if you dislike the trading room or my review of the site. That is only my opinion and I did not know people would take offense to it.
Why not visit the site, give it a chance and then come back to post a review about it rather then name calling and accusations?

Someday, I hope EliteTrader requires a simple registration to post. Like, everyone must sign up through Paypal, worldpay or something else, and pay 1 cent.
That way, their identity will be confirmed.
cold, port and others are turning this place into a zoo.
I know ET is concerned it will drive away potential joiners, but the multi-alias trolls who have 5-10-50 aliases and keep doing things like this puretick thing also drive away people.
I must have cold on ignore at least 25 times. And he keeps popping up. It usually only takes me 2-3 of his posts to recognize him.
Or maybe we find out where he lives, and go cover him with duck sauce![]()

Banning IP addresses is useless. I would say about 20-30% of ETs membership uses a proxy server because they need to get through a workplace firewall or they want to hide their IP address out of concerns of privacy.
If Baron and Joe started banning the "facebook"-type proxy servers, then they would get rid of 20-30% of ETs membership overnight. In fact, they had to unban ip addresses for a while as the webhits were falling.
As well, many of the banned posters and ips had very interesting characters that made for more webhits.
So, you can ban ip addresses, ban members and fight the power, but you shoot yourself in the foot at the end of the day. Elitetrader has already fallen several levels down on Alexa and it simply does not command the presence it did in 2006. Therefore, advertising revenues fall quickly.
Go ahead ban away and continue to shoot yourself in the foot and climb down the ladder more...
Yes, ericmindich is another alias of a regular member, and not the only other alias he currently uses. If he continues this nonsense he's about to lose them all. And that includes a very old one which I know he would dearly like to keep. So for a change of pace let's stop playing alias musical chairs. Thanks.Quote from R. Raskolnikov:
who gives a shit when you were born, you registered TODAY!
Now, you don't mean to tell us all that you are a new alias now do you?
