Someday, I hope EliteTrader requires a simple registration to post. Like, everyone must sign up through Paypal, worldpay or something else, and pay 1 cent.
That way, their identity will be confirmed.
cold, port and others are turning this place into a zoo.
I know ET is concerned it will drive away potential joiners, but the multi-alias trolls who have 5-10-50 aliases and keep doing things like this puretick thing also drive away people.
I must have cold on ignore at least 25 times. And he keeps popping up. It usually only takes me 2-3 of his posts to recognize him.

Not to turn this into a "this is how ET should run their business thread", but...
If ET charged $10/year for a membership, it would not be an overwhelming amount for most who read and contribute to the forums.
The benefits would be three-fold:
1.) It would help eliminate the majority of multiple aliases and idiots who come on, get banned, and come on again.
2.) Suppose there are 10,000 real members...that would be $100,000 in revenue to ET. It should be more than enough to make up for the loss that would come from advertising revenue when they cut loose idiot advertisers like Pure Tick!!! Yes, please drop them as an advertiser...I will pay my part!
3.) Advertisers would find more value because they know they are targeting members with a vested interest, and the forums would be much higher quality.

Yes, ericmindich is another alias of a regular member, and not the only other alias he currently uses. If he continues this nonsense he's about to lose them all. And that includes a very old one which I know he would dearly like to keep. So for a change of pace let's stop playing alias musical chairs. Thanks.
