Yeah, good move because your loyalty to a bunch of thugs is more important than respecting the flag of the country whose uniform you wore.

He's right. He did show them up. It's called leadership by example. Too bad Big Ben lacked the character to stand by him. Now both are sorry for their stance.

Obviously there is a leadership vacuum at the head coach and ownership positions.

Maybe he saw Trump as a true divider.
 
His teammates deserved to be thrown under the bus. Obviously he was leaned on in a big way, and to be totally honest I'm not sure what I would do in that situation. Lots of money at stake for him, and his career is on the line with potential retaliation in the form of cheap shots taken during the game which may cripple him. Too bad really. The NFL is just about done. Add this political nonsense along with the concussion issue, more and more parents not allowing their children to play contact football, the outrageous cost of going to a game and it all adds up to the demise of the league. Probably was a decade away or so, and this will only serve to expedite the process.
 
The other problem is they have a labor agreement coming up for renewal in the next couple of years. Holdout highly likely. Wonder if anyone will even notice?
