I donât hate Hillary or Obama, I am an independent who after taking a lot of things in consideration about the future I came to the conclusion that Al Gore would be the best choice to be the next president of the United States. I came to that conclusion during 2005 long before anybody had declared that he/she was going to run for president in 2008.
I know that Ralph Nader will get votes in the single digits, but we are still going to vote for him.
It is too bad that the American people it does not have a real choice most of the time other than the 2 wings of the same bird.
It is time for the United States to give to its population a 3rd and a 4th major political party for the people to have better choices than the ones that the major parties shove down our throats every 4 years.
We understand that a vote for Ralph Nader is a protest vote.
In a Nutshell: At least we know what to expect from a John McCain administration â a draft, and World War III. And you can make money during the next 4 years by investing on the war machine. And most Americans should also be prepared to send their kids to some foreign land to die or be wounded on some major war.
I know you are going to ask me who is going to finance World War III for the United States â Americans have to start analyzing how Hitler was able to finance World War II, since in the 1920âs Germany was in a little worse shape financially than the United States is today.
I know the French financed the independence war for the United States in the 1700âs, but even though the Chinese have been keeping the US economy afloat for a while I donât believe the Chinese would want to finance World War III for the United States in the coming years.
Maybe John McCain can finance the new wars with more tax breaks for the rich in the United States.

I agree with your first paragraph above. I'd love to see a fresh party or two with a chance to win. Its very hard to do with the current system however. Money being a major factor.
The second paragraph is just simply nuts. Don't even want to know what cloud you were on when you came up with that one. Were you aware that Mac spoke out against his own party concerning marines in Lebanon. BEFORE they were blown up. He was also against sending troops into Somalia. He does not automatically want war. I think you've been spending too much time at the FAR left Daily Kos.
And even if he did, no way would the US populace support another major military action for quite some time. Its the same as after Nam. You are a bright guy SA, but your US political analysis is way out in left field.

SouthAmerica: In my opinion, John McCain is a warmonger that is his specialty his career has been built based on the fact that he is considered a war hero, and he uses his past experience as a squadron leader as a qualification to lead the country as president.
About 5 or 6 weeks ago I saw McCain say on television that if he is elected there are more wars to be fought by the United States â and he was implying that he would attack Iran next.
When I think about John McCain there are 4 things that comes to mind:
1) That he spent over 5 years as a prisoner of war in Vietnam,
2) That he survived the Keating five (Alan Cranston (D-CA), Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ), John Glenn (D-OH), Donald W. Riegle (D-MI), and John McCain (R-AZ)) savings and loan scandal of the 1980âs. After a lengthy investigation, the Senate Ethics Committee determined in 1991 which senators had substantially and improperly interfered with the FHLBB in its investigation of Lincoln Savings. The Committee recommended censure for Alan Cranston and criticized the other four for "questionable conduct."
3) That he lost the nomination to George W. Bush in 2000 after very close races on various states.
4) Regarding his personality: I understand that he has a short fuse. (I wonder if that is the kind a person you want with the authority to wage war on other countries.)

Now regarding the Daily Kos website most of the diaries that I posted on that website were about why Al Gore should run for president in 2008 and be the nominee of the Democratic Party.
I just posted my diaries on that website, I did not have the time to read and comment on other peoplesâ diaries.
When I first posted my diaries including the pools on that website over 80 percent of the people said that they would vote for Al Gore if he were the nominee of the Democratic Party.
Then as Barack Obama became one of the possible nominees, that website became Barack Obamaland.
The Daily Kos crowd does not accept the possibility that Al Gore can be drafted at the convention and that he will become the Democratic Party nominee.
I am sure that Al Gore can crush John McCain in November 2008 and he can win the election with a strong mandate.

I can see the US economy spiraling downward in the near future; first descending into a deep recession, then it will implode into the first Great Depression of the new millennium.
One way for the United States to come out of the new Great Depression it would be by starting World War III, first by engulfing the entire Middle East into a major war and after that who knows.
The best options for the American people to choose in November 2008 it would be a presidential race between John McCain vs. Al Gore, because that race would really give the American people two real choices and very clear paths into the future.
If John McCain is chosen in November 2008 then we know that Americans chose the World War III strategy as a way out of the new Great Depression.
If Al Gore is chosen in November 2008 then we know that Americans chose another path out of the Great Depression; a new revolution that includes the restructuring of the entire US economy âA Green Revolution.â Instead of guns and bombs this revolution requires technological innovation and creativity to create a new world environment friendlier for the future generations to live in.
I am not naïve, I understand that most Americans have a better grasp of the world war strategy than the option that would be offered by Al Gore.
