I will say I find true added value in your observations between the dollar and Treasuries. And in answer to your question, the Admin has clearly persued a cheaper dollar agenda. Any other course would be laughable. We MUST import less and produce goods that even if not exportable will at least be consumed at home. Can you imagine how FUCKED GM would be with a cheap dollar. The dollar was WAY too high for too long and now IMO is a bit too cheap.

Making sweeping statements as you do, blaming the Right for everything whilst making the Dems look cleaner than a baby's just-washed bottom is ridiculous.

The Repubs hardly have a monopoly on what you're complaining about.

IMO, the Dems showed their true colors when they ousted Lieberman, who was their freakin' candidate for VP a short time ago, simply because he doesn't want to cut and run from Iraq.

The GOP is reeling in the polls and yet the Dems have failed to show unity or come forward with a candidate who will stand a chance in hell come November. The majority of the country may be disenchanted with Bush, but not to the point where they're going to let a moonbat run the country. The Dems are so bound to the far left now that a middle-of-the road candidate (do they have one?) who distances him/herself from the moonbats will come across as a traitor to their own party, i.e. Lieberman.

BTW, I'm not gloating. I don't see a worthy GOP candidate on the horizon either, save Giuliani, and it's not a slam-dunk that he's going to run.

I'm sorry I went bezerk before, it is just that a powerful part of the conservative movement does and always have used ridicule as a means of belittling a person and render their arguments less effective. They try to paint people who care as "weak" rather than simply address their arguments. "Moonbat" is a perfect example. Used to be "whiny liberals" etc. Anytime I see them do this I get pissed. I am not a wild eyed liberal by your definition but I am clearly anti-conservative.


I don't question Reagans patriotism per se as much as I do his control over his inferiors who had their own agendas. I do, however, question W's loyalty. He is a New World Orderist and tool of the multi-national corporate attempts to render governments, including if not primarily the US government, ineefective at interfering with their ambitions. Socialist? Naw. Keynsian? Yes.

Dollar policy? To me the US economy is not that simplistic. GM imports plenty of components that make a strong dollar as cost effective on their bottom line as it damages their exportibility. A strong US consumer lifts the boats of worldwide economies AND serves to perpetuate our center of the universe economic position. To a great extent if we maintain that approach our trade/current account deficits amount to funny money. Under that regime other countries cannot afford to do much more than "bank" the money. Otherwise they risk a strengthening of their own currency and unemployment lines as the American consumer slows spending. I will let others determine how "fair" this is, my concern is about US. God Bless America and John Maynard Keynes. He may have been a homo but he was a wily sob that propelled the American Empire into the most incredible economy the world has ever seen. If the anti-Keynsians would keep their mouths shut we could keep that. Instead they insist on tearing it down. oh well, we probably don't "deserve" it anyway. The best Treasury Secretary and manager of US dollar policy we have had since Keynes was Robert Rubin and the proof is in the pudding. BTW he was also a very succesful bond trader cause he understood how things really work.

I clearly am not in agreement with alot of the Democrats and know that there are weasels in their works as well. I do, however, KNOW that the conservatives (Tories as I call them) have resisted every innovation that has ever truly contributed to making this country great, especially as that relates to the common person. Think about it. YOUR Vice-President oversaw the moving of an American Corporation offshore so that it wasn't required to pick up it's fair share of the burden. Then was integral in setting it up to receive billions and billions of dollars of our tax dollars instead of trying to develop a true homegrown system to take care of the same things. You could argue that he was only being a smart businessman at Haliburton and performing his fiduciary duties there. Tell me why he hasn't been just as vigorous in his fiduciary responsibilities to the United States itself now that he is in that position? In that one area HE OF ALL PEOPLE understands the drain on the US economy that is resulting from this kind of corporate behavior. yet he says nothing and does nothing about it.

It has not been typical of the Democratic Party to distract with blantant ridicule especially based on peoples physical attributes. Did you see Rush morph a 12 year old Chelsea Clintons face into a dog face? Do you ever listen to these bastards? It is constant. Do me a favor and think about this and watch. A) Won the cold war by spending the Soviet Union into bankruptcy.

B) Put the US on its current course of 3% growth damn near every year. Small taxes!
