SouthAmerica: Reply to Yannis
About ten years ago Time magazine had an interesting article about the African continent and I never forgot one statistic that they mentioned on that article.
The article said that the GDP of the countries of Sub-Sahara Africa including 600 million people was lower than the GDP of Belgium a country with a population of ten million people at that time.
By the way, things are getting so bad in the United States that we have an Exodus of illegal immigrants going back to where they came from. On May 1, 2008 The New York Times had a front page story âFewer Latinos In US Sending Money Home.â
These illegal immigrants are the canary on the coalmine when it comes to the American economy â they are giving you advanced notice to all the troubles that are already affecting the US economy.
About 8 years ago when I was living in a very nice suburban town in New Jersey, my neighbor was very unhappy because a family (husband, wife and 2 kids) that used to live about a block and half from us sold their house and moved somewhere else, and they sold it to an Indian family (from India), but the problem with this new family it was that instead of only one family moving in into this house there were 7 families that moved in including a total of about 25 people
