Al Gore - Democratic Party candidate in 2008.

As of right now, 4/19/08, Mac is in a statistical dead heat with either Hillary or Obama. Those of you who say Obama has no chance must be looking at the electoral map. He is very challenged there, but Mac could always say something unbelievably stupid, or have a stroke. I would prefer Mac over the two socialists, but I think its anything but a done result. I do not believe Hillary has any chance to get nominated, but its a toss up who will actually be Prez in November.

If the economy doesn't melt down, probably McCain. If it does, or he looks too senile in public, maybe Obama. Either way, its going to be ugly down the road. Even if Obama loses, you'll see him try again at least a few more times. Its very obvious this guy is power hungry. In the Senate for all of a year before launching his presidential campaign.

Many of my friends and associates are looking long term with the UNDERSTANDING that should he happen to lose this time either as party nominee or as candidate, he'll be an automatic on the next go around.

There's also a major expectation in the African American community that the party might try to find some plausible, creative way to advance Hilary's cause here. The current logic getting play is that we'll be told a strong, scuffed and scrappy second place finisher is basically more viable than a wounded winner. :)

Obama, if he was smart, which by the way, he is not, would drop out and let Hillary get killed by McCain. He is a one term guy.


Then Obama would come back at the "leader" of the Dems....he might win in four years....he loses 49-1 and he is toast forever...butt of jokes.....

SouthAmerica: When Richard Nixon became President in 1968.

Now it is Al Gore’s turn for a second chance and I am sure that he can win the election in the same way Richard Nixon won in 1968.

Basic fact: The Liberal/Dem party is built on personalities: Carter, Clinton etc etc.....not ideas...so there is no continuity of programs..


ConservativeRepublican is more on basic ideas that all hold common: less gov. less tax etc etc....Reagan, Bush, now McCain...


The Liberal/Democaratic Party cannot govern.....only have to look to Pelosi/Reid fiasco.....

Obama is an "empty suit"....no nothing...no experience...nothing accomplished anywhere...doesn't even vote most of the time...

In my opinion, the one chance the Democratic Party has to beat John McCain in November 2008 it is if Al Gore is the nominee of the Democratic Party – if the Democratic Party is going forward with Hillary or Obama then you don’t need to wait until November 2008 to know the result of the election – John McCain it will be the next president of the US.

Today The New York Times had an interesting article about Al Gore and Lieberman, but for what is worth the day that Al Gore picked Lieberman as his running mate that was the day he lost the year 2000 election.

In my opinion, the wrong running mate was the number one reason why he lost in 2000, and as a close second, Al Gore made a big deal about gun control right before the election. These were the major reasons why he lost the election in 2000 – the people who blame Ralph Nader want a scapegoat for the 2000 loss.

In 2000 I thought senator Daniel Robert Graham from Florida was a better bet to be on Al Gore’s ticket since Florida was a swing state and senator Graham was very popular on that state and most likely if he was on the ticket Florida would have ended up as a blue state.

I never understood why Al Gore and his handlers picked Joe Lieberman to be on his ticket in 2000 since Connecticut it was already blue state.

It's very simple. GWB is our President because he proved that he was a lot smarter (or, in your system, a lot less of an idiot) than Gore and Kerry, the best (smartest) that the liberals could come up with.

You seem to think that all Americans (the public) are idiots. Maybe that's true in your imaginary system of reference, but you haven't said anything smart to support that view, and, at any rate, that's not how democracy works: everybody has a vote, and, if you are really smart, you convince them to give it to you. The media are engulfed in a survival struggle of their own and simply rehash what they think the people want to hear. As people's taste and attention shift, so do the media.

There are many well documented instances of crazies who made a great deal of noise, declared loudly that they were smarter than anyone else [in your words, "the public"] but, in reality, after all was said and done, proved to be a lot dumber than that "public." So, watch your words... :)
