Al Brooks - Trading Price Action Trends

Euro is rich lately for excellent examples of very simple, but effective trades. Here's another one, which just happened. Is anything more than good old price action really needed for a trading simpleton?

These are trades via Al Brooks book "Trading Price Action Trends" or trades via any of Al Brooks methods.

Well, Al Brooks describes breakout trades in his books, though I cannot say this one is based on his works.

But this thread turned more into price action thread in general already.

In my opinion, you should specifically state in each of your message post when you post info about your trades as a disclaimer that "these are not trades via Al Brooks methods" to prevent new readers from thinking your trades represent what you've learned from Al Brooks regardless to the discussions by others that are off topic.

I only say that because I remember other threads where someone else did exactly the same as you and after awhile...new readers wanting to learn about a particular method and then eventually became long time members would sometimes refer to a specific member in past conversations to be using someones method when in fact the person NEVER used the method but just happen to be posting trades or p&l statements in the thread.

In addition, I do remember earlier in this thread someone did ask for info about others using Al Brooks methods and if those others were posting proof of profitable trades via Al Brooks method...now that you're posting your trades in this thread. You will seem like the "go to guy" to learn about Al Brooks methods...similar to NoDoji using his methods.

True. I didn't think about this possible effect.

I apologize if I misled anyone into thinking that trades presented by me are "Brooks setups".

In reality everything I showed more fits in "general price action" category.

Will better post them in some other, more suitable thread in future.

There have been "general price action" threads in the past but they usually don't last long or turn into a psssing match about price action versus indicators or the indicator traders show up with their charts that have indicators to get the thread converting to the usual indicator method discussion and LESS talk about price action.

Yet, I blame that mostly on the thread OP not asking ET management to police their threads.

Thus, I understand if you haven't been able to find a suitable thread to talk about "price action trading" in general.

Yes, such threads either tend to turn into religious wars or the are quite passive.

Quite sad to not have decent active technical trading thread on a trading forum.

cornixforex, I think you would be a great candidate to start a decent active price action thread at ET. You never know, it might take off and be a really good thread.
