Al brooks says breakouts provide the largest edge for a trader yet...

Quote from marketsurfer:

My initial research reveals...

After he lets interview him, you will be his greatest fan...

------------------

There are actually tons of videos by him on Youtube and some webinars on BMT, so people can decide for free if they like his style or not before buying anything...

Somebody advised to speed his videos up by 50%, so they would be watchable... :)

His credentials don't warrant an interview. Like his style? Is that a preresquite for something to work or simply a confirmation of my earlier statement that poor lost souls seek confirmation for their fatally flawed thinking?

Quote from ChkitOut:

tight stop and 90% win rate is a mathematical impossibility.

lol, and you are going to prove said impossibility I'm sure...

Something that seems impossible to you has some characteristics. 1) you are just going with the conventional wisdom, the crowd, and the crowd generally can't do anything out of the ordinary. 2) the burden of proof is on you, I don't much give a rat's ass what you think 3) at the level of philosophical argument, proving something as impossible is a fool's errand, it cannot be done.

Who cares what Al SAYS?

Until he CHOOSES to provide SUPPORT for his so far UNFOUNDED claim that his friend makes 10+ points per day (the same friend who says that even beginners should make at least 6 points per day), I choose not to believe him, and I also choose not to care.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Al has provided NO evidence at all.

Where is your journalistic curiosity? Maybe at a personal meeting he wouldn't mind to show you his real trades and records. His credentials may be lacking, but his fame certainly isn't...

By the way Al would like to thank ChckItOut for starting countless threads on him, thus saving him the vendor's fee on ET. Baron must be excited....

Dig up something juicy for me Pekelo. Otherwise, there's no story here.

Quote from ChkitOut:

in his first book "reading price charts bar by bar"

he dedicated 9 pages to it. I'm not joking, the chapter on 'breakouts' is literally 9 pages. The book is 400 pages long.

So tell me how this makes any sense? Why would anyone that preaches traders focus on breakouts for the largest edge there is dedicate 9 pages to how you trade breakouts?

I'm at a loss.

You mentioned its an edge and not the holly grail of trading. Its merely one edge amongst many i.e. it works sometimes but not all the time thus can't devote the entire book to it...

I didn't say I look "down" on 100k a year. I said that's not "killing it".

Quote from Pekelo:

Fucking DUH....

There is no point in talking profits without mentioning account size. Making 100K on a 50K is impressive, on a 2 million account, not so much...

I am curious how much you make on what account size that you look down on 100K.... Also where you live with how big a family makes a slight difference, but I shouldn't state the obvious...

I once read somewhere a long time ago that when Al was talking about his "friend" he was actually talking about himself. He did it this way because he says he really couldn't talk about his trading results.

RR is incredibly arrogant. Perhaps the most arrogant person I ever met in this business. I wouldn't pay much attention to him. surf
