Al Brooks Net Worth

I could direct you to several online communities of good full time traders who have been influenced by Al, but why would I do that to them. This little farcical bubble of ET is hardly representative of a successful trading community....over and out

LOL. Okay.

Don't wanna go too off topic, but that alpha thing is perpetrated in porn movies and not much beyond that. I would say it's a myth that the alpha, as displayed in media is truly desirable. The whole hunk alpha frat boy type mentality with getting the girl drunk and poking her anus is as low life and intellectually turning off as it can get. Those type of guys have way too few brain cells to take sex to the next level. After they have had their share to keep their testosterone in check they desire more but don't have the mental capacity to think up ways to peel back the truly exciting stuff. That's why they most often resort to cars, spring break locations, bars, alcohol, drugs, cheap one liners, macho attitude, and even money to compensate for their fried brains.

Admittedly, pick-up/game/red pill culture can be toxic. Many arguably think that it's responsible for a lot of "damaged women." I think you are collapsing some distinctions there with your stereotypes - also, using the greeks as definitions has limited usefulness.
Yet, still doesn't change the fact that ~10-20% of guys get all the pussy while a majority of the rest are incels that get friendzoned.

Full on truth be spoken right here ^^^
And it's not just limited to Al, there are good communities out there but one does have to exercise their discernment as well as have something to offer to gain access.

Yes, I read his first book several times over. I understand that contemporary American writing is generally simple and short. Brooks is old fashioned. His book is more like academic in its approach. Wiley editors don't seem to do anything about it.

If you read Financial Literature from 60 years or 100 years ago that was published in the USA, they sound similar to Brooks. Some examples are, 'Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits' by Philip Fisher. 'Security Analysis' by Benjamin Graham and David Dodd (First Edition) and also 'The theory of Investment Value' by John Burr Williams. All these are good books, but their language is not really simple. Two more examples are 'The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money' by John Maynard Keynes and 'The rise and Fall of the Wealth of Nations' by Adam Smith. The last two books were written by English and Scottish authors.

I do agree with you that, Brooks', language is not simple, and, is unusually complicated by today's standards.
Academic? This 'math' background is just another salespoint to impress new people. Why on earth would someone with a mathematical background use 'arbitrary' 5 minute time bars?
Next, everyone with an academic background has probably done some courses to learn to write, eg start with a structure and the basic building blocks. From there slowly progress further and delve into more details.

See, this is the problem I have with trading gurus who themselves don't question convention and keep regurgitating the same old trading maxims.

AB=CD should be CD=AB just like R/R is reward/risk as typically used in reference to 2x1, 3x1 etc not risk/reward.

AB has already happened, so it is CD that is being compared to it - CD to AB. Fack the nice sequential letter lineup. Say what you mean. Last swing cant be compared till its done. AB can be projected against current CD swing but until its done IT can't be compared.

Yup say I'm one of these picky particular ones but words matter. YouTuber Brooks and all the rest of the teach but don't trade crowd should know better by now.

....95-99% of aspirants could never possibly be successful in active trading......
Agree 100% and active trading to me implies for the most part fast trading whereby watching the screen constantly.
Al Brooks style is bar by bar stuff, there's a lot of minute detail TA analysis, in actual fact just lots of technical analysis period.
I swing trade and none of this analysis is required, one can cut out about 98% of Brooks' clutter and do better imo.
