Define just cause. Suicide is a exercise in futility while trying to stop war. The point of sacrifice for country is what gets young men to enlist. It takes about a week to realize you've been duped and then you fight to save yourself and the man next to you. Patriotism been a recruiting scam forever, promoted by some asshole with a little flag pin on their lapel. There are things worth dying to defend. Government isn't on the list.

I was a true believer. Who else joins the Marines in the middle of a war that was already exposed as a total shitshow? Boot Camp just sank me further into a delusional state. Just another dumb kid, perfect for the machine. Isn't anyone becomes more disillusioned than a true believer bitch slapped into reality.
