Well, it seems "The Terminator" or "The Matrix" did squat to warn us of the probable dangers of Artificial Intellegence. Most are completely ignoring the warnings from Musk on AI as well. "The Handmaid's Tale" is warning us of the dangers of religious fanaticism. How well will humans heed that warning...
