Are there any "technical analysis" traders out there who currently use AI in their trading strategy?

And if so, any tips for getting started as someone not fluent in AI?

30% of all my algorithms are trained based on various deep learning models. But it's certainly not chatgpt. If you understood what data it was trained on you would understand. What you are asking for is for tools and opinions without having done the slightest homework on your end.

How to get started? Like with everything in life: the boring, tiring, time consuming grunt work to familiarize yourself with the basics of the trade. In this case linear algebra, data science, basic ML, then deep learning models, and concepts of data engineering. 1 to 2 years to get up and running if you put a lot of effort into it and allocate a sizable chunk of free time. Are you willing to do that? Then I can guide you to suitable material. Any off the shelf tool that you can use after 15 minutes of trial and error has the exact value added of ZERO.

I want to learn how to use AI for my trading.

The CHATGPT will give you something noone will give you, and that is quantified (no guessing, no hoping, etc.) results for what you are doing.

I have not done much vis-a-vis my own trading but I've been using CHATGPT for other things and it is truly a game changer, so I'm hoping to give myself another tool to combine with my arsenal.

Begin with the following:

1. Program and back test every trading idea you think will make money in the future.

I would not trust chatGPT to trade, I asked it some pretty basic math questions it messed up on.

I would only trust an AI actually trained for trading, not this thing

Years ago I looked at hardware for some of this stuff and the training idea, all it was doing was creating a matched filter physically. Not sure if that pertains to your endeavors but I was kind of dissapointed.

Why not head over to YouTube? There are many trading videos involving machine learning. Don't get your hopes up too much though. AI, at the current juncture in time, is really nothing other than training a model on large data sets (although that might change in the future).
