A. From the times posted earlier for your trades on Friday. If they are right, it looks like that first trade took about 5 points of heat. Is that correct? I know you must get tired of reliving trades, but what was entry reason. I am guessing it was the first trendline break preceded by a lower high. Looks like you waited for a pullback to the tl to sell?

Could had been sure, based on current volatility. The higher the risk the bigger the target as that was one of the most profitable trades overall

Probably playing a pattern there, double top, which is different from scalps.

Once again the following was meant for me, but I am sharing it because the only tough part about AHG is knowing when not to trade. Here's an idea...

OOps uploaded wrong file first time... here goes again.

Don't mind most of the other notes... its hard to understand without knowing the relevant bigger picture.

What's important is that the the HH HL pattern goes back and forth and so the easiest thing to do is just draw the boundaries and wait for them to be broken.

Here's a question to any of the more experienced traders in this thread....

I had the desire to backtest (by hand) many of the setups in this thread, but recently am realizing that for myself it seems more useful to put more time into trading live and then doing a recap.

Can any of you give me your opinion on what is a more useful use of time for discretionary traders?

Is my hunch correct?

IMHO, There is no subsititue for real time screen time, but that is only available at certain times, and you may not be there then. Homework, reviewing the days activities with time to analyze and work through the setups is also valuable, and for me a part of every day, much more on weekends. Professional goflers don't just learn the game in tournaments.
