Hi Anek,

you carried Friday's trade over the weekend?

Stretched it as far as I could.

Vacation is on.

Be good all, read the journal.

PS: Watch out for Support becoming Resistance

Seems like i got this one in just after the bell! :) Anyone else with an opinion on the DT he describes? Appreciate the input... mark1 maybe? :)

Enjoy your vacation Anek!

Anek,

Are you looking at it on a different timeframe because that does not look too close to a classic double top.

Or are you not considering the wick as part of the first top formation, therefore making the tops closer to being double tops?

Or is there just a heck of a lot of approximations in calling patterns?

As usual, thanks!

can you direct me to that 'page" on this journal...since you know where it is...seriously...would really appreciate it!!!

Why would I know where it's at? I've read every post on this thread so I know it's here -- but I'd have to do the same work as you and search for it....

Now, I have been cut-n-pasting notes from this thread ... here's is a quote from Anek... this will give you some text to search for... But seriously, read this entire thread from the start -- you won't regret the time you spend doing it!

This week I continue my studies in NQ and slightly deviate from ES but only temporary unless the results merit a permanent change.

Eventhough I wil pay a premium in commissions I expect some of the brutal breakouts/downs to make up for it.

I noticed a peculiarity of the NQ that is very compatible with my style, this includes AHG and non AHG setups.

I can't point you to a post where Anek tells you how he defines a DT, but I have noticed that he will frequently call a DT where the second top is much lower than the first top. I don't think it really matters if you call it a double top or a lower high and use the low in between the 2 highs (or tops) as confirmation.

New to the nq. what initial stop do guys use when entering a new trade? Thanks.

Just below or above support and resistance. Strategic stops better than a fixed number

After a pullback, a tick or two above/below last swing high/low.

Essentially the stop is such that it will break the current HH/HL (uptrend) or LH/LL (downtrend).
