Ag trade ideas

Someone has an explanation for fats limit up yesterday? I understand you don't have to trust the tariff rhetoric but is that a reason to go limit up?

Interested in starting to trade BEANS /ZS - when is the time not to trade em? When do weekly/monthly reports come out? kind of like the oil inventory on wednesdays at 10.30am. Thanks.

Crop production reports are monthly around the 10th of the month (+- a few days). Grain stocks and acreage reports are quarterly at the end of March, June, and September (excludes end of the year). There are smaller reports such as NOPA crush and weekly crop progress, but those generally have little effect on futures movement.

Obviously, the current "trade war" has lots of volatility that will stop out most directional trades you might put on, even calendar spreads. But maybe that's exactly what you are looking to take advantage of.

Short Cotton K8-N8 @ 0.81. Small stop around 1.0 as close to the highs.
Taking 1/3 of my position out @ 0.21.
Some elements of my strategy captures movements during the last month before FND. I like to trade these periods as they're quite volatile.
