I like the idea of certain government officials (or maybe all government employees) being required to waive their 5th Amendment rights.

I do too because she is establishing a precedent that hopefully future republican officials will follow. Of course, the media would be in an absolute uproar is a republican cabinet officer defied a democrat congress.

This was all very predictable and it was why I said at the time the Senate should not have confirmed an affirmative action political hack like Lynch. It was bad enough that they confirmed her predecessor, the notorious Eric Holder. At the least, they should have secured her agreement to follow the law on things like immigration. Instead they got a lawless political operative who met secretly with the husband of an investigative target days before the investigation was spiked. This makes Watergate look like a parking ticket.
