After Hours Trading Question - Pic Attached

Quote from propseeker:

no dark pools report to cboe for equities. they have 90 secs to print.

I looks like Dark Pools don’t report price or volume to anyone.

Dark pools are a private or alternative trading system that allows participants to transact without displaying quotes publicly. Orders are anonymously matched and not reported to any entity, even the regulators (Younglai and Spicer 2009). Thus, the mainstream exchange-traded market does not have any clue about the volume of transactions happening in this parallel market or the prices at which they are being executed.

So much for tape reading.

this question comes up over and over again. This happens every day to almost all the stocks that I trade with........not a darkpool print. darkpool prints never show up here. it's delayed prints from earlier. simple. just disregard.

Quote from trom:

Could be an arranged block trade based on something like the daily VWAP, could be a late reporting dark pool print, could be a broker-to-broker transfer... there are many different possibilities.

That print was definitely not specialists. That was the CBOE. There is no "specialist" there doing that kind of volume. They just reported the trade there.

This is the correct answer. Most likely a vwap print.

And just fyi guys, dark pools do print to the tape in real time, they are supposed to print between the nbbo and usually do. Sometimes they are late.
