Advice sought regarding good inter-office trade alert IM program

Dear trading community,

Was curious whether there is a simple instant messenger designed for active traders/prop trading floors. Besides AOL IM or other standard chat programs, can anyone recommend a functional IM program where one person can input advice based on changing market conditions and/or issue trade buy/sell alerts?

Basically would like to get a sense of how small prop groups have their chat software set up.

I came across the platform offered by a proprietary trading/training firm: http://www.smbtraining.com/overview/smb-intraday-trader. You can see an image of their intra-day alert system. This is the kind of chat window I had in mind. I am sure that the same effect can be accomplished via a standard Instant Messenger, but I was curious if there was a program optimized for traders?
