Same premium recommendation with the Pathfinder for over 65K.
I have used mid-grade since new with no problems.

Yeah,

I tried Silver and it seems to be ok. Often you don't learn of problems on the lifters etc until many miles later though.

Up to 18.5 MPG over 1600 miles. Temperature never above 45 degrees farenheit.

This is what I am going to get until we warm up considerably. Next post on gas mileage metrics will be when summer comes.

Nitro,

This sounds suspiciously like an engineer talking, were you an engineer at one time?

I think you'll find the MPG gradually improving as yu break the truck in. Probably not get up to maximum until you put 20k or so on it. Synthetic oil will supposedly give you an extra 10% MPG. Also, pumping the tires up to max capacity will add another 1 or 2 MPG, although I'm not sure it will help around town.

Geez, it will take me close to two years to put on 20K miles on the car. But I will post it here to see if in fact it is true.

I have always put synthetic oil in my car. Thing is, AFAIK, the Murano has one of these modern engines that take special oil - the oil changes happen like once in 12K miles - I forget exactly.

I never mess around with the tire pressure except mildly. In summer I may let out a couple of pounds because the tires are running hot. In winter I go to the recommended tire pressure.

Average Gas mileage at first oil change: 18.8 at 3500 miles. That is at beginning of spring.

Next update in summer.

So have you investigated exchanging the air in your tires for nitrogen? Hey you get these sporty green valve stem caps too.

I have not looked into it but it is suppose to be better for tire mileage ( doesn't expand and contract as easily as air)

and now the pig in duh poke part - gives a better ride too. ( right....?)maybe?
