Advice on books

Colleagues,
can anyone advise a book describing not options themselves as an instrument type, but the market in general? Which exchanges in the world trade options, what are the biggest brokers, common fees structure and so on?

I've read Connolly and Natenberg, not much there about it.
 
My personal favorite books on Options Trading are:

The first book is a bit technical and mathematical, and is used in various graduate level finance classes. It may be difficult to read depending on your background, but is well worth it.

- and on the home page you'll see their annual survey of global futures and futures options volume: top contracts, exchanges and comparisons to a year ago.

Equity futures and options are included here, but not options on individual shares or ETFs. That would come from another trade association but I don't know which one.

Barron's sometimes has good articles with insight into various options markets
