Advice for proper way to prove a strategy?

Hi all, I'm looking for direction. I want to go about things the proper way. I've been away from this site and others like it for a long time.

Let's say you've developed a profitable automated expert advisor, or even manual strategy. You've been a hermit for a long time and finally it's time to let the world know about your system. You want to do things by the book ie: verifiable records, real time examples, trading journal etc. whatever it takes.

what would you expect, or what sites/software/whatever, would you expect a legit system developer to use/incorporate, in order for you to believe them and maybe purchase/rent their system in the future?

I'm looking for specific answers like, "give real time signals in an instant messenger", "signals through an email list", "screen shot of your trade history".

I really doubt that posting realtime in a journal thread would be enough. What would it take for ET readers to respect and take someone seriously? How would you expect someone to "prove it"?

If you want to be taken seriously... A track record audited is the best solution.

For systematic about 6 months would do it... for discretionary a lot longer... The longer the better.

But to be honest with you. The best return do not have the biggest account...You will fund with average perf and big AUM.

Managing money is a bussiness like any other business.. your return is only a part of it....

These days people pay attention to who you are?
The location of your fund...?
Are outsourcing.. BO, Accounting, Lawyers.. etc....

Transparency is key these days....
