I use Openecry and Tradestation pit (via RJ OBrien) for pit trades using stops just because IB won't support stops. Sure you can write a simple app to submit a limit order to IB once the stop price is hit, but having the order sitting in the pit already should get you a better fill.
Note neither of those brokers support pits for NYMEX/COMEX anymore though.
