Short USD/JPY @ 108.46. S/L @ 108.68.
Stopped out. Loss = 22 pips.
Short USD/CAD @ 1.3014.
I placed a limit order at 1.3014 at 4:15 AM PST, then went to sleep since I was feeling sick. I woke up this morning to see that it was hit and USD/CAD was trading down after the release of the Bank of Canada (BOC) statement. I chose 1.3014 since it was the 61.8% retracement of the move from 1.3039 to 1.2974. I doubt that I would have chosen this entry point if I had stuck around after 4:15 AM PST since USD/CAD fell further. Thus, it was truly fortuitous.
