Advantage Futures - best commissions i have ever seen

Quote from dmcw:

Specifically for CME GLOBEX emini SP/NQ/YM "Exchange, clearing, reg. fees and NFA fees" add up to $1.15 per side/$2.30 round turn currently.

1.14 + 0.02 = $1.16 no ?

NFA fees used to be $0.02 per side; now only $0.01 per side. $1.15 total per side.

When did that change ?

You know what, I can't even remember. It's been a long time...

I can look back at my statements as far back as July on last year and see that it was already down to $0.01 per side at that time.

Ok, found it. The fee was lowered January of last year:

"NFA assessment fee reduction will become effective on January 1, 2008

Effective January 1, 2008, NFA's assessment fee will be $.01 per side. The new rate is a 50% decrease from the current rate and the lowest level in NFA's history. It also marks the eighth reduction in the fee in the last nine years. "

Quote from dmcw:

I'm not sure what you mean by overnight 'fees'. We don't charge any extra fees to clients to hold positions overnight ...

Not sure I've answered your question. Let me know if not.
Some brokers charge Overnight / "Carrying Fee"
E.g. they dont: http://www.variancefutures.com/commissions/
but e.g. IB does in unbundled fee structure...

So, what about Advantage Futures? They write: "Minimum annual revenue requirements may apply
to traders leaving overnight margined positions."

I am not a client from Advantage Futures, but all i can find in ET about AF, sounds realy good to me. It seems they are specialized on the X-Trader Platform, and technicaly they should be top notch :-). But what surprised me so much was the commission table they send me today. Never seen commissions like that. Over 10.000 contracts a month (5000 RTs) you pay 0.05/side (ES future)....over 20.000 0.04
Clearly its not for the trader with 2cotracts an 5 RTs a day, but who makes Volume...

Penny-wise, Pound foolish?

Advantage is apparently DIRT cheap, but two questions remain:

#1 - How much coin did YOU make last year futures trading?

#2 - How much did you pay in commissions?

I've met MANY unprofitable traders who are looking for either a holy grail (usually an amalgamation of indicators & oscillators) or a dirt cheap commission.

Once I spoke with a dude who thought he was a big shot, looking for a few cents a spin...found out he's only trading with $50k. ::shakes head disapprovingly::

You know what they say about the retail guy, right? ;)

Have a nice weekend, all.

Why don't you worry about your OWN P&L, and not what others are trading, seriously counterproductive!

I clear through Advantage.

I can recommend them without hesitation.
Good firm with great people.
Thanks!

But i do repeat my question (about Overnight / "Carrying Fee") on every page until I get an answer.
