To be fair, the few reports i've seen from them on youtube seem well done and relatively objective. I'd say similar to al-jazeera. That doesn't mean they can't have a bias by under reporting events (ie crimea) or sway public opinion one way or the other. I haven't seen any RT during this election cycle, so it'd be interesting to know how they behaved.

the major media can not longer craft the story. Its awesome. There was an article by a conservative reporter at breitbart stating the middle would get together and craft the story they were selling and sometimes it had very little basis in realty that day.

So what do you do with the group who shapes propaganda instead of reporting the news. You dilute their ability to shape the narrative. Oh we may really get tired of winning. Imagine if half the media were practicing journalism.
