Just bought a second system for my trading room, and had a question about battery backups / surge protectors.
I live in a rural area, and voltage over/under loads are not common, but do occur more than in most areas, so this is a very critical issue.
How do I go about calculating what an "adequate" bb/sp would be? I currently run an APC, but just have the one setup (laptop and then a dual core desktop running 5 monitors).
I will be adding a second desktop (quad core i7, with 4 monitors). This is the system I need a new battery backup for.
Recommendations are very much appreciated, either for a unit for just the new computer, or one that will handle all of them together. Thanks in advance for any help!
