From my experience I found that mixing video cards on a the same box is asking for trouble. I would not even want to count on the built-in video out on the box when adding PCI video cards.

Update.

Pros:
Quieter-old single card had integral fan.
Cheap-under $100 for 4 monitor capability.
My son thinks it's cool.

Cons:
3 monitors would have been sufficient.
My wife maintains her (glaring) silence.
