Why would you ... not be out of the first tranche? Before TA says enter a second one.In a sense I get it - as nobody goes out and deliberately looks for losers, the idea of adding to losers sounds perversely risky.
However, if the TA demanded a new trade at a certain level, why not take it? The market does not know I already entered a trade at a worse price, it doesn't care. So if I enter long at 1.2345 and price falls to 1.1234 but the TA looks stronger at that level than my initial entry (strange but possible), why would I not add? I cannot devalue the TA simply because I took an earlier and weaker trade entry decision.
Do you not believe in stop losses?
