I realise that is a foreign concept to someone who is used to getting government benefits and fighting to keep them.

Maybe it's more like buying the fight referee a car. On second thought, it's more than that because lobbies actually manage to get the referee to rewrite the rules that favor one side. I wonder if Adam knows which side that is. But I'm guessing that Adam is too busy to care; he's on the hunt for that elusive joke that gets a laugh...
