Do candlesticks work for longer term than weekly? Jsut curious.

Longer than weekly would be bi-weekly or monthly. If you choose this period you invest for the long term since you need many candlesticks and therefore many months to form a pattern.

Of these bulls sites, I have been using longbull.com. Although they should rename it to shortbear since their short trades have made more than the long ones.

There is no need to sell short in this market.

dkny, make sure you use 10 or 5 min. You may not see any divergence with a 60 min or it will be too late. I like the 10 min charts best

60 min should still be fine. I rarely use the 5 min chart and never the 1 min.

I have been watching this forum for many months and gathering info and tips. I believe the following tools are the best for active traders.

Interactive Brokers for brokers
eSignal for market data
WizeTrade for swing trades
LongBull.com for day trades

If trading above 2000 shares a position then Ameritrade is more appropriate.

Brown is good too.

Been using longbull for daytrades and also check their picks for swings with wizetrade. The picks are better than WizeFinder.

If you want to do swing trades with the longbull picks, look at their short candidates. If the stock doesn't hit the entry price that means it has reached a bottom. It works 8 out 10 times :D

That makes sense. I went long FHR today at 22.75.
