I understand that it is possible to create account partitions, assigning different positions to each partition. In theory, this was done to allow each partition to be managed by a different trader (for professional wealth managers), but I would like to know if it is also possible for a single trader to keep different portfolios (stocks, bonds, options, etc.) or strategies separated and track them individually. The original account acts as the 'parent' partition to the 'child' partitions. Does anybody know if this can be done with an individual account where the manager is myself and not third party advisors? Using subaccounts seems to me an unnecessary step, especially considering that margins will not be shared across different subaccounts.
